12 DAYS RWANDA, UGANDA GORILLA TREKKING AND TANZANIA WILDEBEEST MIGRATION SAFARI.

Overview.

Great safari to participate in as you explore the beauty of East African countries (Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania) where you will trek the endangered mountain gorillas in both Rwanda and Uganda and then cross to Tanzania where you will visit different national parks as you trace the migration of wildebeests.

Have an option chance of visiting some of the local communities and explore the true African cultures. Encounter other primates and big mammals including the big five animals and big cats while on this 12 days Rwanda, Uganda gorilla trekking and Tanzania wildebeest migration.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to a hotel.

The safari will commence from Uganda at Entebbe airport where the driver guide will pick you up and quickly give you a briefing about the tour. Then transfer you to the hotel in Kampala with an option of nightlife depending on your choice and pocket.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kampala.

The journey to the impenetrable forest will commence immediately after alight breakfast at your hotel. The journey is amazingly full of attractions like the Uganda equator where you will have your first stopover for photos.

Proceed to have a second stopover in Mbarara for lunch in case you don’t have a packed lunch. Visit the Igongo cultural centre with its impressive museum, then cruise past the amazing Kigezi highlands and find yourself in Bwindi national park in southwestern Uganda. A welcoming juice at the lodge as you checks in your room.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking.

Embark on an amazing experience of gorilla trekking after your breakfast that starts with a briefing at the par offices then the assignment of the park ranger guide and then head to the forest to watch these gentle giants in their natural home. The trek can even take about 2-4 hours depending on where you locate the gorillas but an hour is allowed to you in their presence after setting on them your first eye. After the trek is awarded a certificate of recognition then head back tour lodge.

Immediately after lunch has an optional activity of visiting the Batwa or Bakiga community where you will discover more about any of these African cultures. This will be through presentation of traditional dances, dishes, wear, and story tales among others. Then head back to the lodge for your meal.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda.

Transfer to Rwanda passing the Katuna border immediately after breakfast. The journey rewards you with attractions like birds, trees valleys and hills, lakes like Mutanda among others. On the arrival, check-in the accommodation site for your dinner and overnight.

Day 5: 2nd Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes NP

Embark on another gorilla trekking adventure in another country which is Rwanda. The trek will also begin with breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter head to the forest. While on the trek, enjoy other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys among others.

After the trek which can take about 2-4 hours, you will be rewarded with another certificate of recognition. An optional visit to Ibyiwachu cultural village to discover the Rwandese culture is offered after lunch.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali Airport, fly to Tanzania and transfer to a hotel.

Have a leisurely breakfast as you enjoy the sunrise, after transfer to Kigali airport where you will get a flight to Arusha, northern Tanzania which will be the last country to visit during this safari. Our tour representative will pick you from the airport and then transfer you to a booked accommodation facility where you will spend the night.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.

Take breakfast in Arusha and then start the northern circuit safari in Tanzania, you will start by visiting Lake Manyara national park. The park is located in the East African rift valley escarpments and covered by two-thirds of the soda lake. It has diverse wildlife and among other elephants, tree-climbing lions, and also birds like flamingos.

Take a game drive on the arrival after short leisure time immediately after your hot lunch. Check-in the accommodation for your dinner.

Day 8: Lake Manyara to Serengeti NP.

Embark on the transfer from Lake Manyara to Serengeti national park immediately after taking a morning game drive. The park is well known as a hub for wildebeest migration and is the largest national park in the country of Tanzania.

Then go for an evening game drive in the park to discover more wildlife that is found in this national park.

Day 9: Full Day in Serengeti NP.

Discover the beauty of Serengeti national park after breakfast; take on a morning game drive while searching for wildebeests as they migrate from Masai Mara together with gazelles and zebras.

Witness the predators such as the lions, leopards, crocodiles enjoying some of these herds which seem untouched. This full-day will reward you with the best experience in your lifetime.

Day 10: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater.

Enjoy a morning game drive and then head to Ngorongoro carters to also discover other attractions in this park. Among other wildlife that can be spotted include, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, jackals, cheetah leopards among others like buffalos and elephants.

Also, water birds like flamingos are found here with hippos and crocodiles. Check-in the accommodation site for your dinner.

Day 11: Ngorongoro to Tarangire National park.

Take a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro craters where you will spot more wildlife animals. Then after mid-morning tea, check out of the lodge and transfer to Tarangire national park. This park is comprised of Baobab trees and acacia trees and even huge swamp vegetation.

The large herds of elephants make it famous and other animals that can be found here include the great kudu, ashy-starling among others. Check in the accommodation facility and then embark on the evening game drive to watch these animals. Then return to the lodge in the night for your dinner.

Day 12: Transfer to Arusha and departure.

Wake up early for a morning game drive which will be followed by breakfast. Check out of the lodge then pack your luggage in the vehicle for a return transfer to Arusha, dropping off at the airport for your flight back home.
