You will track Chimpanzees and do Bird watching in Kibale Forest National Park, visit Lake Mburo for game viewing, Nature walks and Boat Cruise. Kibale Forest boasts of a strong primate diversity with over 13 species such as the Pottos, Vervet Monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, and Black and White Colobuses among others that you may encounter on the nature walks through the forest. Bird life in the park is prolific with over 372 recorded species including 6 that are endemic to the Albertine Rift such as the Dusky Crimson wing, Purple-breasted Sunbird, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, African Pitta, and Yellow-spotted Nicator. With over 68 mammal species, In Lake Mburo National Park, you will spot Hippopotamuses on your cruise, Water-cormorants & the Great African fish eagle plus more wildlife including the Topi.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

You will be met by your guide at the hotel after breakfast, drive westwards to Fort Portal where you will break-off for lunch. Later, drive off heading in the direction of the park and continue to your booked overnight accommodation where you will have dinner and spend the night. Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and Nature walk in Bigodi

Break the day with an early breakfast, this morning you will go Chimpanzee tracking in the pristine forest of Kibale. Being home to 12 other primates, while tracking expect to come across some of them, such as the; Grey Checked Mangabeys, the threatened Red Colobuses, the Black & White Colobus, Blue Monkey, Red Tailed Monkeys, among others. Once you meet the Chimpanzee’s you will be given at least an hour in their presence to watch their behavior, later head back to the starting point (Kanyancu) from where you will head back to the lodge. After lunch you will head to Bigodi wetland just near the park for a nature walk to see primate, birds and luckily mammals like Sitatungas. Meal Plan: Half Board, Overnight: At a selected hotel

Day 3: Explore the Crater Lake trail

Start with an early breakfast, and go tour several crater lakes and do the top of the World Hike, a popular activity near Kibale Forest. The three-hour or longer guided walk covering three crater lakes, villages, tea-plantations and a view from the top of the world that takes in 3 crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains with the landscape facing the park. You will be accompanied by a local guide who can explain Village life – the legends of the crater lakes, the tea and vanilla plantations all along the way.  Meal Plan: Full Board, Overnight: At a selected hotel.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo and partake in an evening game drive

Transfer early to Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast. On arrival check-in at the booked accommodation and later transfer for a game drive in search of the wildlife finding home in the park. The park hosts over 68 mammal species, how many will you discover on today’s drive? Retire for the night at the lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board, Overnight: At a selected hotel

Day 5: Game drive and Launch cruise

After breakfast, go for an early morning game viewing session to discover the Eastern hinterland which hosts a variety of wildlife including; Zebras, Duiker, the Elusive Klip springer and Impalas among others. In the late afternoon after lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on the lake Mburo to look for the Crocodiles and Hippopotamuses, bird like the African Fish Eagle, African Fin-foot, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Brown-chested Plover, Water-cormorants and Bush Shrikes among others. Meal Plan: Full Board, Overnight: At a selected hotel

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe

Today after breakfast, checkout from the lodge and leave for Igongo Cultural Centre to discover the traditions of Ankole people housed in the museum. Later continue with the journey and breakoff at the Equator for a simple tour and photos, proceed back to Kampala or Entebbe, drop-off at the hotel or Airport. Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
