Murchison Falls at a size of over 3840Square Kilometers is Uganda’s largest Protected Area and most preferred wildlife/ game viewing destination. It is located in the Northwestern part of the country in the Albertine Rift region, it is a premier destination for game safaris and the highlight to the park is the exploding waterfalls where the Nile squeezes into a 7-8Meter gorge and falling off into the “Devil’s Cauldron” at a height of over 43Meters. On this tour, you will do a game drive and launch cruise in the park.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will be driven off to Murchison Falls after having breakfast at the overnight hotel, you guide will meet you here. The route to the park is scenic as you proceed through the savanna plains of Nakasongol-Luweero. En-route, [Optional: you may branch to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary where you get chance to track the Rhinos, one of the members of the Big Five]. Lunch will be here or in Masindi and then continue to the park. Depending on time of arrival, you may visit the top of the falls and later continue to the lodge where your dinner and overnight will be. Meal Plan: Half Board, Overnight: At a selected hotel
Day 2: Launch cruise and Game drive
Start with a hearty breakfast at the lodge, later head to Paraa with the guide, at this point this is where you will set in for a launch trip along the Nile. The trip finally leads you to the bottom of the waterfalls and this point presents remarkable photographic moments [options; you may decide to do a one-way trip ant then set out of the boat to hike top of the falls or do a return trip and be driven to the top of the falls]. Have a lunch break and in the afternoon, go for a game drive on the northern bank to watch the wildlife, anticipate to see the African Elephants, Giraffes, and Jackson’s Hartebeests among others. Day 3: Return
After having breakfast, check-out from the lodge and be transferred back to Kampala of Entebbe, point of drop-off will be at the hotel or the airport for your departure flight. [Optional activities available for you on this day are; Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest reserve]. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
